 Consumers Permanently Adopting Thrifty Habits
I loved this article. While the Recession has been horrible, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone, recessions have a way of getting people to refocus on their financial priorities and take a look at waste. Companies all the way to families do this. It's like it's a way to keep us grounded, I supposed.

I would agree with this as well. i think all of us have made cut-backs, no matter how big or small. recessions have a way of making us more humble and bringing us back down to reality.

I'd venture a guess that the holiday season might reflect that new attitude as well. Of course, with Black Friday spending being so much more than last year, it's hard to tell.

i couldn't agree more with this sentiment. recessions have a way of balancing out and returning us back to "normal" spending levels. it should, anyway.
i think that's also why we see shows like "extreme couponing" get the incredible ratings it does. people want to know how to save money on every day expenses.
