Post Referrencing the 1930s
I've been noticing this over the past month or two...economists and experts writing op-ed pieces making comparisons on the current economic state to that of the Great Depression. This article in USA TODAY confirmed my hunch. It's a great piece...not a scare tactic, but any means, but a good reminder that unemployment and consumer confidence are still driving factors in a poor economy. It's too early to be declaring victory or that the Great Recession is over (like I often hear from our current administration).

Check out the article here: http://www.azcentral.com/business/articles/2010/07/19/20100719Depression-comparisons-pop-up.html

I saw this as well. Good reminder we aren't "out of the woods." Yet.

I correct my previous statment. We are NOT out of the woods. Officials came out today and said we are more than $1.4 trillion in debt and the U.S. government is borrowing something like $.41 of every dollar it spends - what a deficit. I cannot believe the spending! No wonder the economy won't correct itself.
